I just found out that the hands-free liftgate is not coming anymore, and a few weeks ago I saw that the park assist is not available anymore.

Is there a list of all the removed features from previous years? couldn't find with the search... If not, please feel free to start replying with the ones you saw, thanks!

The hands free lift gate is listed for the 2023 Expedition so Ford isn't completely dropping the feature. There is some speculation that it may become a feature that Ford activates for a monthly charge. All 2022 MMEs appear to have the hardware installed but not activated.

The park assist is supposed to be a dealer installed option when the parts become available.

I think the hands free liftgate still exists. It’s the foot activated feature that was discontinued .

Ford says: "Hands-Free Power Liftgate makes packing easy. Just kick your foot under the rear bumper and the Hands-Free Power Liftgate opens and closes."

I thought Hands-Free, foot activated, and K2O were all the same thing. Is there a difference?

The BlueCruise update removes the preferred lane tracking feature that used to exist with Lane Centering.

POWER LIFTGATE still exists.

Handsfree liftgate / kick to open liftgate are the same thing. That does NOT exist.

I don't believe that anyone has confirmed that every 2022 Mach-E has the sensor installed, but not activated. I know that some 2022 owners have tried, but failed, to activate it with FORScan.

IMO, any speculation that this feature would be fee-based feature is absurd.

That was never a formal “feature” listed anywhere in the order guide, Maloney sticker, owners manual, or any of the promotional material (that I received).

Correct. It was in the owner's manual though. I used it frequently but that is no longer available in my car. Works great in my brother's Select still. He teases me that his basic Select has a feature that my fancy Premium lost. :)

I overlooked it in the manual:
If you drive off-center within the lane, the system sets and maintains that preferred lane position. The system provides continuous assistance steering torque input toward the preferred position.
Note: The system can only set preferred lane positions within the lane.
Note: If the system cancels, the preferred position erases. On the next activation, the system provides continuous assistance steering torque input toward the lane center.

I have a 2022 built in June. I was able to activate the kick to open with FORScan as it had the hardware present.

My 2022 built on 10/25 (one of the last 2022's built) also has the hardware for the handsfree liftgate & I was able to activate it with FORSCAN.

Makes me wonder why Ford turned it off? Was it because of the random opening that others here have reported? I just hope we don't regret turning this on...
