I don't know what to say anymore. All of you have good points. Don't let
these posts drive us to hatred to one another. We will all act the way we
feel is right going forward. We won't change each other's minds on the way
of how to go about and do this. We are all different and will approach the
opening up how WE see is best for us. We have waited very long and now we
must start the economy. The Southern states will shed light on this soon.
I do think they opened the valve too much too fast.
However the problem will be that when the first states open up and begin conducting business semi-normally, there will unquestionably still be some infections & deaths. The media, as sure as I'm sitting here and typing this, will blame Trump, conservatives and the Governors of whatever states opened for business. This is what the media does.

You said this already. We are moving forward. Don't post old news please. D-
 ;)
It's funny how even though I have him blocked, I still can still tell exactly what he must be saying. It's the normal hate Trump, love China mentality. I bet he's still responding to my posts even knowing I have him blocked. That's a special kind of something.

At this point in time, knowing what we know about the Chinese Communist Govt and how they lied and obfuscated about what was going on, it's almost impossible for me to understand those that still make excuses for them...unless you are a Chinese troll posting here. Nothing would surprise me, just as the 'reporter' at one of the daily briefings, asking an 'I gotcha question' of Trump, did indeed turn out to be working for a company largely owned by the Chinese Govt just as Trump had suspected. Let me be clear, the Chinese people I'm sure are great, but their government is scum.

Those things will surely happen. This is a mess and everyone wants to blame
someone. I feel like this is a dream. People just have to move forward and on
with their lives as different it will become. I do not know what will the next
2 - 3 weeks will be like but it will happen without me. It will become unruly
and maybe violent if we stay locked down. I am thankful for this Forum to
allow us to express our views about our feelings and thoughts we face.
Where would we be without this ? Thank you to all of you.

Oh come on, no old news please. You were doing so good.
We must move forward and forget the past for now.
You have returned to a grade of F. Now do better as
you have shown you can.

Just as sure as we know Trump will blame Governors, especially democratic ones. Don't just blame the media. While they are guilty, much of what they are doing is reporting the blame made by others.

Yep. We need to be smart about how we open up to avoid rebounding any harder than we have to. Very slow and smart reopening makes much more sense than throwing open the gates.

It would be great if we could get the rabble rousers to help out instead of making things worse but that's probably too much to ask.

Sweetwater, there is no hope for him. You’re wasting your time.

On the humorous side of what’s going on here in NY, here’s the latest. Our ‘genius’ mayor, DeBlasio, had recently released convicted criminals from our jails as the result of the virus. He assured the obviously disturbed public that these were non-violent criminals. So what could possibly go wrong?

Within days many of these criminals went on to commit new crimes. Whod’a thunk? Today the Mayor literally expressed shock that this had happened. He asked how these people could do this when he showed such good faith in releasing them.

It’s this stunning level of stupidity that makes him the most inept, unpopular Mayor in my lifetime and probably the worst Mayor in the U.S.

No, the media does it all by themselves, they don’t need to report blame made by others. They’re very creative without any outside assistance.

The Governors call the shots at the state level, so just as guys like you can’t wait to pin everything and anything on Trump, it will be fair to criticize Governors if they screw up. Yes Mark, even Democrat Governors.

Has anyone here said ‘throw open the gates’? Gotta love these straw dog arguments.

And it would be great if we could get these obstructionists to realize there’s a sane way to approach reopening. See what I did there? ;)

Nor did I say anyone here said "throw open the gates". However, if you think those voices aren't out there among the Liberate folks, you haven't been paying attention.

Probably as many as those on the left who would like nothing better than to have this country spiral into a depression so as to clear a path for the Dems.

I sincerely doubt that. I haven't spoken with or heard from anyone who is happy about the economic costs we are already suffering, much less making it worse. That statement is true of my Republican and my Democratic friends and it's true of everything I've read online. Making sure we are as safe as we can reasonably assure, yes. Spiraling into a depression? Absolutely not. I can't imagine that there are nearly as many folks out there who want us to go into a depression as there are folks who are convinced that we don't need to take any action to protect us against Covid-19. There is a large contingent out there who still feel Covid-19 is a hoax that combines with the anti-vaxxers.

Feel free to prove me wrong.
