I finally got my MME back after my accident on May 3! Here is a picture of the car just after the accident.
I was concerned that the car would be totaled which would mean having to order another and wait a long time. However, it turned out that the main battery was fine. The total cost of repairs was about $21,000. The long wait to get it fixed was a combination of the body shop having a big backlog and some issues with ordering parts, particularly when they realized they were missing something that they should have ordered!

I think they did a great job when all is said and done. There were a few things that did not work properly, but the dealership fixed those in the last two days. As far as I can tell, the car is about as good as new.
Of course, we all know that a car that has had major repairs is worth considerably less than it was before the repairs were done. I have filed a Diminished Value claim with the insurance company of the person who caused the accident. The amount of the claim is substantial! I will post how this goes, but I am at least moderately optimistic. I did a fair amount of research, and I think my DV claim is quite supportable. We will see!
