Two nights this week, I've run into a similar situation and it has caused a LOT of unnecessary stress.

Using Ford mobile charger, plugged into NEMA 14-50. I've been driving my car quite a bit, down between 15%-35%. Plug it in when I get home, see it alerting me in the app that it's "waiting to charge" at scheduled time. When I wake up in the morning, I have 30 miles of range and no juice was added! This morning, I came out to an amber fault light, the last time, there was no fault. Both times, Unplugging the charger reset it, bringing it to start charging for the 45 minutes I have before I have to leave for work. I'm afraid this thing is going to leave me unable to make my 40 mile commute to work, one of these days.

Same for us. We got the car last spring and never had this problem until last month when it went into Ford for the system update. We gave the car to Ford service last week to investigate and they couldn't replicate the problem. Last night we plugged it in and went to bed and then at 1:15 am we got a "Scheduled charge did not begin" messages. We un-plugged and then re-plugged this morning and it began charging again. This happens multiple times a day since the system update.

I have the same issue I think, charger worked perfectly fine with a schedule set up to charge overnight when the electricity is cheap. I'm in UK and have a 7.4kW wall charger installed. Since getting 21P22 updates the scheduled charging has repeatedly failed, but it will take a charge if it's plugged in and allowed to charge straight away.

Took it to the dealer today and they have looked at the car and found a fault code, but they're blaming the charger (which has had zero changes made to it) and not the car (which has had several changes made to the modules including the offboard charging controller).

@Ford Motor Company I've never had a car that refused to be filled with fuel before, what should I do? This is causing me huge stress as I have no idea if the car will be ready for me when I wake up.

I'm having the same problem. Mobile Charger plugged into a Nema 14-50. Light on the charger is blue, but the car is throwing a charge fault error. If I take the plug out of the car and plug it back in, it starts to charge again.

Is it the Ford Mobile charger that is an issue or the car? If I take it in to the local Ford dealer, will they know what to do?

Seems like the common thing with all of these is the Ford Mobile Charger

I'm finding that it charges fine for roughly an hour and then throws the error. What is your case like?

Yes, please let me know how your appointment goes.

Exactly. Same with me an hour and half and boom it’s fault again. Although I got an software update for my car today and it has somewhat disappeared. I will try observing it for a day or so and let you know

I had this happen to me last evening for the first time. When my scheduled time to charge came, it did not recognize that it was plugged in, and I had to unplug and replug to get it going.

As a data point, I have a ChargePoint home charger. I plan to keep an eye on it to see if it was a fluke or not.

I performed the latest OBCC update on Saturday, but had no charging issues until last evening. I also checked the Scriptable widget and no attempts to provide an OTA update happened that may have been an interference issue.

Which update did you get? Mine is a job 2 car so I thought it was up to date, but I haven't been following that closely.

Same issue here. Our car has faulted twice today. It charges for an hour then faults. Everytime we unplug we get a different fault and have to wait for the error message which asks if we are still plugged in. This has been happening for months but the charging fault/stops charging just happened today for the first time.

Our car has never received an OTA. We did get the glass recall done 1 month ago. Dealer said they installed updates but The OTA Script shows we haven’t had an update since 2021-12-07 where 1.7.1 failed.

Still no joy on our end. We are on our 2nd charger now and will see how that goes, but don’t think it will work considering the car is not taking power after a few minutes/amps even though the chargers are doing fine.

The last 3 times it charged for only a few minutes and then disconnected. Each time I go outside the charge lights are off and when I pull the plug I the lights flash red and then I get an error in the Ford app when I unplug.

trying the ford charger now. We have a 40amp charger with 50 foot cord that we have to use to reach the car. I just switched the chargers out and shuffled cars so the Ford charger will reach. Will update in the morning with my findings.

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this on my end.
