RH Mirror Power Folding Issue

So my RH mirror got knocked forward the other day. This has happened before and the fix was to cycle the mirrors a few times using the button on the door and it resynced. This time it will not resync correctly. When it folds in it tries to keep going and clicks several times. Then when I fold it out it goes past the proper position before stopping. I can manually put it in the correct spot, but it's a little loose.
Has anyone had one of these mirrors apart and successfully resynced the position, or am I looking at buying a new mirror?
