This isn't necessarily for road trips, but remember that the 30% tax credit for buying/wiring a home charger expires in less than 3 weeks. So if you haven't already wired your garage for 240V and bought a charger (if you plan to do either), time is of the essence if you want to take advantage of the 30% tax credit.

40A with a 14-50 plug (same as the mobile charger the MME comes with). Solid, basic unit made in Canada for only $400 (before tax credit). There's plenty of good ones, of course, but that's one of the best prices. (Unless your local power company has some special offer going, like a few do.)

Wiring a 240V outlet into your garage can often be the more expensive part though, depending on your layout (mine was about $900). So getting that done in 2020 for the tax credit was even more valuable.
