I got tired of waiting for Ford to rotate my tires via OTA, so I figured it would do it myself. :p

Rear tires go straight forward and front tires cross sides when going to the back. Since we don't have a spare of any kind, the entire car needs to be lifted up in the air. If going that far, then it's a good time to wash the insides of the wheels, wipe down the calipers, check brake pads and look at all other visible components for leaks or signs of distress. For as many miles as I have on this car, it looks pretty much brand new still. Let's hope it stays that way for quite a while longer.

Here are some photos of how I lifted the car for those that like to do this sort of stuff themselves. Remember to break loose the lug nuts before lifting the car off the ground. I placed the pucks on the lifting rail and also allowed the square pad to get some purchase on the HVB channel just for extra support. Seemed to work pretty well. I placed another pair of jack stands on the left side of the car but I didn't get a photo of that.

Left Rear.
Notice the part number on the spring. I wonder if that code up top should be LR instead of RR?
Hmmm???? ?
So THAT is the source of the bouncy ride complaint - the MME has two right feet!

Did you measure the calipers while you could? ?
:)
Did not measure calipers. It fairly complicated. The brake pads have to be measured for surface area and distance from CL. With that info, we are then able to calculate swept area, which is really what matters. Caliper size doesn't mean much unless you have sufficient swept area for the friction pads.

I did measure the rotor diameter though.
14 1/8" front
12 1/2" rear. (might be 12 7/16")

Front calipers are 4 piston. Front rotors are vented.
Rear calipers are single piston and solid rotors.

It is possible. I'll have to check the parts catalog and see what it says.
It is fairly common to use the same coil spring for each side. The "RR" could just be a pick code. The workers at the assembly plant would have several different bins of coil springs each bin is a different pick code. AWD EX models might take RR. RWD EX might be some other code, etc etc.

Maybe we'll get some photos from other forum members with other models and see what their pick code might be?

I did notice a yellow dot on the wheels at the valve stem. Was applied after the power coat process. Only noteworthy for folks who might be restoring these cars in 20-30 years time. :)

I was kidding. I'd be surprised if this was anything but a pick code / part number. ?

Pretty typical to see the double R to just designate rear. FR is often used for front.

Did that cross beam come with your jack or did you buy it separately? Harbor Freight?
