Scratches on Glass

Yep. Add me to the growing list! I have a GT built in July. I couldn't get a great picture but I too have multiple (6+) horizontal and vertical deep scratches on the driver's side passenger window glass in exact same area! Very interesting indeed! My awesome dealer's service and customer relations folks fully authorized passenger window glass replacement without question! I just asked for a quick detail polish at the dealer, but their custom's and service folks said this is way too difficult on side glass and scratches were deep. In the glass shop now... Took 1 day for the part order!

I have the same issue on the same window. I'll be taking it in for a bunch of stuff, so I'll ask them to replace the glass.

What is the quality of the glass on the Mach e? Never heard of so many problems. They can't even install a windshield properly.

Same here on rear left door of 2023 Mach e, called Ford, asking me to go to dealer. Called local dealer (Parks Frod of Gainesville) and they told me directly I need to go to the dealer I bought it from (Garber Ford of Green Cove). Not supposed to but I know this needs to be seen in favorable way so I get it...you know how dealers can be. Garber Ford service told me being outside glass, it could be environmental factors etc. It is a 1 hour drive one-way and we know that would have been multiple trips.

From all the posts it seems like someone is aggressively removing stickers with a razor blade. Made in Mexico, shipped to Kansas, went to dealer. The only one removing stickers is the dealer, so there's that.

I ended up hiring a guy for $150 to fix it.

[update 02-11-2023] Dealer reimbursed me for the work. Accepted since it's a long frive and local dealer wanted nothing to do with it. So dealer saga is over. However, there is a tiny haze left. So I said f-it and ordered on ebay a new OEM glass. It has scratches that seem like they would hidden below door/window seal. Contacted ebay seller to return or discount (in the event scratches are hidden). The window saga continues .....

I had scratches on the rear drivers side windows as well. I am pretty sure mine were from the dealer removing the window sticker with a razor blade. I went back to the dealer and they replaced the window right away.

Wish my dealer was that understanding, I brought mine in with 200km on it and they tried to blame me... Now I need to deal with the warranty department who will most likely waste a ton of my time and say the same thing.

Just wanted to add a "me too."

At first, the sales manager suggested it wouldn't have been from removal of the monroney sticker, because that sticker is on the inside of the glass, and peels right off. Then they took a look at another mach-e on still on their lot and realized that there are a couple of stickers on the OUTSIDE of the glass that are much more difficult to remove (and in the same place as the scratches.) At that point, they took responsibility.

Sadly, it might be several weeks before they can replace the glass - they had to order it directly from Ford. I guess none of the warehouses keep spare rear windows.
