Securialert missing in fordpass app

I chatted with fordpass today asking why my Securialert is missing from the app.

That told me

"Vehicles sold after 08/18/2022 do not have Securialert functionality."

Is that true? When I order it 8 march 22, I thought it had it. Delivery date 9 Dec 22. I have select rwd with tech and comfort package. Is it supposed to have it?

Who knows, even those sold before 8/18/2022 don't really have it lol. I have it in my car, November 2021, and it never works. When I open the app, it sometimes has a notification letting me know a door was opened, but never pushes it to me lol and misses 75% of the door opening events.

Just a data point, I had a Mach-E built April 2022 and it had SecuriAlert. I have another Mach-E built Sep 22, that does NOT have it.

You're not missing anything. It sends me alerts when I have it shut off, doesn't send me alerts when I have it on.... Kind of silly. ?‍

Wonder what the truth is? Do all cars have it just the fordpass app doesn't work right or for all. Look at sync everyone on a different version. Some still don't have funk button.

Man this takes me back... I think SecuriAlert was the very first OTA update to the MME? And people got excited for about 15 seconds, and then most people realized "oh, this is gonna be a pain in the ass" and turned it off. LOL.

I had it in my Job 1 and then it was removed. It was nice when the car was at the dealer for the HVBJB failure lol

I had it on my Premium RWD Ext Job 2 MME, and enrolled all of the alerts. Now, however, the button is gone to manage those alerts, so there’s no way to turn it off!

Just dropped my car off at a tire shop for tire repair in the morning. Used the key drop. Was planning to enable Securialert so I’m alerted if anyone opens the doors. And now I’m just seeing this feature is no longer available. Ford’s official statement below is that this was a preview and has been removed from FordPass.
