Ford Mustang Mach-E Seriously Ford… IMG_8836

In the last 60 days, my car has attempted a grand total of 3 OTA updates. This is the second one that has ended up like this.
If you want to know why I am not paying $600 for 3 additional years of hands free BlueCruise, this is why. Besides missing every single target you have publicly set for updates, you can’t seem to figure out how to actually do them over the air. Why would I pay money for a service you have repeatedly demonstrated a complete inability to deliver? It would be different if I had an option to take the car in to a dealership and have them install the updates the same way you do at your factories, but no, you insist on a delivery system that you are still trying to figure out how to use.

Just send each dealer a couple PUMA dongles and do this the easy way.

Check out this post:
https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/how-to-get-failed-otas-to-install.29749/

it’s usually the 12v battery being too low when the update attempts to install. Not a Ford issue, but a protection so your 12v doesn’t die during the update (bad).
My 12v battery is at 91%. If they put a battery in that was insufficient for the car being able to OTA update, then they should know that OTA isn’t possible. It is not my fault their system is trash. Why foesnt the OTA check for battery condition and wait until it is at a high enough level to safely install rather than just fail the update and remain stuck?

It’s been sufficient for all my updates. Haven’t had one fail. There are a number of suggestions to try on the post I linked. Without digging further into the software we won’t know exactly what caused it to fail.

Could it have failed because of the AT&T outage? Lost the connection part way through? Not that this explains the other issues.
