You want 'The Aurora"How much and can I get on for home use?
At the police station in my town the cops use the charging spots as overflow. I think the town has one ev now? The beat cops have rejected it so i think it is marked as code enforcement which seems fair. I will maybe see if i can get a picture![]()
Municipal vehicles and munucipal contractors have special parking priveleges in this town.
I’ll restate my position: if I am in desperate need of electrons and find the only reasonable charger (or one of the only reasonable chargers) is being used by a vehicle capable of being powered by Dino-juice, I will be very sad ?Then it's moot because almost no PHEVs support DCFC at all. The Outlander has CHAdeMO, but that never made sense to me since gas would be faster and likely cheaper for a PHEV on a road trip.
If you're in desperate need, you should be looking for a DCFC.I’ll restate my position: if I am in desperate need of electrons and find the only reasonable charger (or one of the only reasonable chargers) is being used by a vehicle capable of being powered by Dino-juice, I will be very sad ?
Sigh… and Ford says WE can’t have nice things ?Not with my wife's new Model 3. It just shows you parking spots it sees on the screen and lets you select one with a finger press, then press a Start button, then the car just parks it with backend in. I have not had it fail at all.
If I’m in desperate need, I was pretty stupid to allow myself to get into that situation ?If you're in desperate need, you should be looking for a DCFC.
Yup. So you should be more mad at yourself than the PHEV.If I’m in desperate need, I was pretty stupid to allow myself to get into that situation ?
I still maintain that the vehicle that can use Dino-juice, should be using Dino-juice and not precious (even if only level 2) chargers.Yup. So you should be more mad at yourself than the PHEV.
PHEV owners paid extra for the ability to not use gas when they don't need to. They have just as much right to use plugs as anyone else with a plug-in vehicle. I would hope that PHEV owners would have the courtesy to not occupy a congested station, but expecting them to stay away from empty L2 plugs just because there's a chance that a BEV might wander in is silly, IMO.I still maintain that the vehicle that can use Dino-juice, should be using Dino-juice and not precious (even if only level 2) chargers.
Here is where it’s illegal-Where do you get a ticket for backing in to a charging spot?
Interesting. I guess that's one downside to not having front license plates. Though it doesn't say anything about charging spaces. I wouldn't be surprised if they're exempt. Here is where it’s illegal-

There aren’t any statewide laws, but certain cities do have this law.
