well the EU tow bar is approved by Ford, even in Germany where you can drive somewhat faster than in the US. Who is that stupid? dragging the car into a flatbed by the hook?

That hook however is very convenient when you need to pull someone out of the creek/river
Could you please show me the section of the US Mustang Mach E owner’s manual where it says that towing is approved by Ford and provides the towing limits? ?
No, towing is NOT approved by Ford for the US Mustang Mach E.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Snowflake indicator in Job 1s? E775E1B4-786B-4274-A05C-A3C8FECF3602

Since towing isn’t approved by the manufacturer for US Mustang Mach Es, I can’t imagine why you’d want to pull someone out of a creek/river with your Mustang Mach E? If you meant to say it would be useful topull a Mustang Mach E from a creek or river, I suspect you’re going to have a flatbed present at that point anyway, as the Mustang isn’t really meant to be immersed in water, then driven.

yea, missunderstanding, “auto door closing” should be door lock when you reach a certain speed
US and EU headlights do have a diffent build/setup. I remember to change the headlight when my dad got his US Ford back in the 80s
There is a difference illuminating the road

since when is the US Mach E different from the ones we get in EU?
They are all build same way, only difference is heated windshield, nice matrix headlights. All other is the same. show me the section in your manual where it says you are not allowed to use a towbar. The towbar needs to betested and approved by the OEM and then it can receive official govermental approval.

Got it. I’m surprised you don’t have auto locking doors!

In Canada we refer to the âť„ as the on light all year round.

But first of all you need to have the quickclear windshield.
Quckclear windshields only exist on YouTube videos in this country. That’s as close as we get.

Active Matrix headlamps have literally only just been approved in the USA. Even with the recent approval the ones in the USA will be limited to a far lower brightness to comply with a nearly 60 year old regulation.

Towing by the MME allowed in the EU version although somewhat limited in capacity. In the USA we aren’t certified to tow a thing with our MMEs. Most would just like a proper OEM trailer hitch to easily fit a rack to carry bicycles or skis and similar.

One “advantage” we have is that we “get” to use an archaic, 11th century measuring system for our distances and temperatures. Who needs a logical and consistent measuring system?! :p

understand, somewhat 'behind' standards
watch out when driving with the tea lights ;)
not that you get blinded by the light when a EU MME comes your way o_O;)?

towing in EU was somewhat tricky, my trailer has a weight of 350kg and is allowed to carry 1200kg. The first MME coming to EU were allowed to tow 750kg, that would be my trailer and my BMW motorcycle Then later on we got approval for 1000kg and now the MY23 is approved for 1300kg. Certainly don't understand why the US officials don't allow you to tow at all.

as requested here a pdf from EU MME for towing. The forbidden book tells you how to...

@Jimrpa
" Europeans get lots of cool stuff that we aren’t allowed to have ? "

what do we have that you don't have?
most 'nice to have' items can be enabled with UCDS

a quickclear windscreen is standard feature for EU ponys

i could add a German price list showing all features we have, however it would be in German so you would have to translate

from EU standpoint we see things you have and we don't
example would be the volume knob now to be used to adjust cooling heating and other APIM items, or on the Escape the auto door closing when staring to drive
You guys are getting an awesome ford midsize electric minivan.

Tempting... Until you see the sales tax. I'll stick with my sketchy towing since I don't do it much anyways. Can't wait for an electric Explorer or bronco for some real utility... And cargo space

Hey, I find it amusing to base my units of measure on the body parts of dead kings. I still think that, to be consistent, we should adopt shillings, farthings, half-pence and so on as subunits of the dollar, instead of boring old 100 cents!

I don’t think the plugs are compatible. I believe the Europeans invented their own “CCS standard just to be European. Just like how, if you try to use European-spec blinker fluid in a U.S. car, the turn signals will seize and they’ll have to do an electrical system overhaul. ?
