So I missed out on having my RR Premium ER AWD scheduled on the last go round. When do you think the next batch of MME builds will be scheduled? In other words, how often do they schedule builds for the MME? And how many does the plant build in a given week/month of production?

A few here people were scheduled this week despite an announcement of no scheduling. When did you order?

I ordered late October but I don’t think it was submitted until early November.

I ordered direct from dealer so I have to bug my salesperson for each inquiry. I’m trying to keep it to once a month, but boy is it hard not to check every week.

Call Ford at 800-334-4375, they're happy to help. I call every week or two to check on the status of my order.

short answer: "Who knows when. Ford won't say." ;)

Ford "suspended" the Cuautitlan assembly plant production on 7 Feb, but they didn't say for how long, i.e. 1 week or 3 months. Fordauthority.com says the plant is idle and the restart date is 14 Feb. Some folks with assigned VINs and estimated build dates had their build date suddenly pushed out 3 months. Folks may get "schedule whiplash injury".

Cuautitlan had "built" more than 6,000 MME in January 2022 with about 2,700 for US market. Ford did not disclose what proportion of these "built" MME were actually incomplete due to their lacking microchips and thus were not for delivery/sale.

With "suspension" of MME production, I'm assuming my own "estimated build date" is being pushed out farther for every week the plant is not scheduling. (This assumes that scheduling is linked to order date and FIFO applies. This is a very weak assumption.) Actually, it may have been pushed out 3 months or more; Ford gives no clue. On the other hand, perhaps, Ford might accelerate their promised MME production and solve their chip shortage this Spring, thus fulfilling the backlogged orders sooner than predicted. What are the odds of that?

Ford's allocation algorithm also confuses the issue for US buyers, since they secretively divide scheduled production by batches between US-Europe-Canada, ZEV states within US, and "high volume" dealers within states.
