For the last several days, the smaller display that displays the speedometer (not sure what it's actually called), has been lagging tremendously. For example, the turn signal will blink and then get stuck on or off for a few seconds. Turning cruise on, or anything that is displayed in that screen will sometimes take a second or two to register. And worse of all, the speedometer will oftentimes get frozen for a few seconds, which makes it hard to tell how fast I'm actually going.

I've tried the volume down + track right trick to restart the main screen and it didn't do anything for that other screen. Does anyone know of a way to reset that little screen?

There are some speedometer bugs that were introduced with the 6.8 update. They will presumably be fixed in a future update.

Did you get an update recently? A bunch of people were reporting similar issues right after getting one of the 6.x updates. It seems to be another case of Ford’s software testing architecture being completely inadequate. As with most Mach-e software bugs, if it doesn’t go away on its own and rebooting Sync doesn’t fix it, then you’re stuck waiting for Ford to release a software fix.

I have the same problem. It started about a month ago sometime after the 6.14 update. Took it to the dealer, they updated some software and did a (system) reset which was basically pulling the 12v negative cable for about 10 min. The problem went away for about a month but came back. The dealer did a reset again and it was fine for 3 days but now it’s back. Has anyone found the permanent fix for this?

Mine has done that since it was new. Thought it was odd that I was doing 1mph in park….

There is supposedly a software update in the works. Mine has done this sporadically since 6.14.0 was installed. For the first few days it read 1mph. Since then it sporadically reads zero or 1, so I don’t think the reset did a thing for your car. ??

My issue is related to the original post which is speedometer lag and signal indicator out of sync. The 1 mph issue when stopped I’ve actually only seen once.

Recently updated yesterday with this and now the screen behind the steering wheel has some pretty intense lag; speedometer, turn signals, cruise control etc. Anyone know a fix? Fuses or battery disconnect? I’ve read these are maybe the go-to’s but that was a few months ago. Thanks!

Tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 20 minutes and did NOT resolve the issue.
