Yep, the track is in North Carolina and is the same one owned/used by out of spec motoring (Kyle). He also works for InsideEvs and talked quite a lot about this video in this week’s podcast. In short, it was not actually a “spy video”, just a marketing stunt to make it look like a leak. They couldn’t give exact details but eluded to a lot. What they said made it sound like the theory that it is a Ken Block collaboration with Ford to make a racing version of the Mach-E is correct. Here is the video:

“We’re under an NDA”...followed by a smirking “we know nothing”.

We all agree it was a stunt but InsideEVs makes it sound as if it might be a future option. If so, it seems Ford wasn’t too worried about showing the upgraded specs, but it makes me think about what they didn’t show: the front end, back end and hood.

So maybe a more aggressive design that Ford isn’t ready to “leak”? Those fans may need a GT500 type hood and a Porche-like ventilated rear. Definitely losing cargo space but it’s got two rows of seats!
