Spurious low windshield washer fluid alarm

Has anyone experienced intermittent washer fluid low alarms and been able to fix the issue themselves? My dealership is a 100-mile round trip from home and if there's a simple "self-fix" I'll give it a try before I book yet another repair appointment.

I had this issue on my car too. It turned out to be a faulty sensor in the car. I don't remember it taking the dealer's service department long to fix, if that's any consolation.
