Static audio from sound system

So out of no where my audio went from crystal clear to like this static sound. When the volume is low the audio sound weird and a bit muffled. Even the touch tone beep on the screen has a weird sound to it. Have anyone else had this problem.

Try rebooting Sync by holding volume down and next track buttons.

Try rebooting Sync.

I did several times. The issue resolved when I turned off the car and locked the door. When I got back in then the audio was back to normal.

This happened to me one time on my Select that I had first before my current GTPE. Sync reset didn't fix it, but parking turning off car, and exciting and coming back did for some reason. It never happened again so can't say why or what. I never posted on it since it never happened again.

The same thing happens to me. I get out the car for a couple hours and it resets. But then sometimes randomly starts happening again

It was free for me under warranty. Not sure how much it would cost outside of warranty.
