Just had my from shock/strut blow up and replaced by Ford. Just curious if anybody else has this issue and whether this was one off fluke or more serious design issue due to the weight of the vehicle

I believe that other than the "shocks having shipping supports not removed" issue that some overseas folks have reported, there's been no shock-related systemic issues reported by others...

did the dealer have any clue about what happened? (this is not the same as them telling you they did, of course ;))

Some folks on here have gone over 20,000 miles now and haven't had this sort of issue.

that's not meant to say there isn't a design issue of some sort, but you have to think that with Ford making Super Duty trucks, the Expedition/Excursion/Navigator, etc., that they probably have some clue how to deal with a vehicle the weight of a Mach-E...

(this is not about the "bouncy" ride that some report mind you - that's a different topic than the one at hand here)
