My wife and I made side window shades the other day, and they work great.
This is a super simple, half hour project that anyone should be able to do.
I bought this 2' x 25' reflective polyethylene insulation roll on Amazon, and it has been enough to do all the windows on a Yukon XL, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and now the MME:

We used some craft paper big enough for the windows, and I traced the outline from the inside with the window rolled down while my wife held it up. Use a marker, not a pencil, as the pencil might break through the paper (don't bother asking how I know...
)
Cut out the paper, then check the fit from the inside with the window rolled up. Cut off any excess and make marks or notes where you might need it to be bigger to refine the shape. The MME windows are somewhat indented, so they work great to keep these shades in.
Use the paper template to trace the outline on the reflective polyethylene and cut them out.
Check the fit and refine more if needed.
I sewed a 1" webbing to finish the edge for the ones I made for my Yukon XL, but it was a major PITA and really not at all necessary, as this material is pretty tough and does not unravel.
I sent an image of the MME pony to my friend with a vinyl cutting machine to see if he can make me some stickers to dress them up, but you could do all kinds of things if you don't want plain silver.
