Tax credit question

In September I bought a "new" mach e off a local lot. It had 600 miles, which I was told was from test drives. I specifically asked if the tax credit was still available and was told yes.

I have some documentation that says new, and then I have this document which has new and used both checked, without any prior disclosures. My accountant said I'd be fine, but just curious if anyone else has any experience with this? In specific as far as claiming the tax credit?

I already received some benefits from a local utility that were only available for new cars and I would assume they checked, but who knows. @Ford Motor Company

What does the car's title say? New or Used? That's what matters.

I would guess that it's new since Vermont doesn't make dealers title cars on their lot, even if they're used as demos.

I'm not sure I dont recieve the title until the loam is fully paid. Great info tho thanks I did not know that

perhaps researching with your department of motor vehicles to confirm new status.

Oh yeah? I wish somebody would tell my town that!

But yes, we don't have to pay an annual use tax for cars, which is quite nice.

I don't think you can remove a thread unless an admin does it. But that's fine. It can live here for posterity.
