But I do hope maybe when I get to be in my 60s or 70s it might be odd to actually drive your car, as all of them will be full self driving by then and maybe not even have steering wheels anymore, who knows!
God, i hope not. I enjoy driving. ??

Maybe the title of this thread should be changed. I thought it was about the spate of MMEs being bricked. ??

Just think of the lack of rush hour congestion if all cars drove themselves and talked to each other....

Hope you see it in your lifetime but also not sure I'd bet the farm on it. People likely won't want to give up control, but who knows.

Could you…. Probably. It will require a battery replacement at some point. But the smack of other critical parts means keeping it running shouldn’t be a problem. Will the 2021 Mach-E still be drivable in 40 years, like a 1981 mustang…. it’s possible.
There unlikely will be a cost effective option down the road. The future is unknown but looking at the past in regards with battery replacements it’s a very uncommon undertaking. The MME battery was not designed to last forever and the likely hood of a cost effective replacement appears to be slim.

Only time will tell

Oh don't get me wrong, I love driving! But I don't think it's impossible that in 30 to 40 years, at the rate a lot of car manufacturers are going, that every new car will have full self driving abilities. Maybe there might even be laws governing who will actually be aloud to drive anymore at some point. The possibilities are endless and exciting to think about!
