when using my lectron tesla charge station adapter yesterday i couldn't get it apart for about 15 minutes... it would not unlock from the tesla plug... i almost left it there on the tesla charger... until finally it let go.. it was of course in the middle of a snowstorm... fun... i just recieved my Ford adapter and it looks like a better release button.. will see.. also in the same snowstorm i was at a 350 kw EVGO and it was much slower than the tesla 250 kw ...was it just a bad charging station?

More than a handful of people have reported this as an issue (Tesla adapter stuck). The Ford-Lectron Tesla adapter is different than the Lectron Tesla adapter, with 2 latch buttons.

If a 350kW charger is slower than Tesla, it's could be due to a) malfunctioning charger, b) cold battery, c) higher SOC....

You will never see any differences from a 250kW to 350kW charger.

Your single onboard charger w/ 400V pack won't take in more than 140kW.

Unless you have an 800V pack.

Could have been a bad station but also an EVgo 350 kW station will actually be slower in general than a 250 kW Tesla Supercharger for any 400V architecture EV.

Since the MME has a ~380V nominal pack, it needs ~400A to reach the peak charge rate of 150kW

EVgo 350kW have a 350A limit (1000Vx350A). EA 350kW are rated to 500A max. Tesla 250kW Superchargers are rated for 500Vx500A.

This nameplate rating is especially something to keep in mind for EVgo 200kW stations (1000Vx200A). Despite the charger being rated for 200kW and the MME max DCFC rate of 150kW, you can only expect to see at most ~75kW from it.

Btw it could very well have been that the tesla plug had a disfigurement that caused it as ive used the lectron before with not too much problem but the ford adapter seems to have a better release switch

I had the same thing happen to me the first few times I used it was very embarrassing as people were waiting for the charger. What I do now is I push the unlock button the charge port and wait 10 seconds. Then I remove the Tesla cable from the adapter while still plugged in. I think there is a video from Lectron on their website. Neve had an issue since dong that.

Not true, my Rivian actually charges a bit faster on the EVGO chargers and it is 400V.

In fact, the EVGO chargers are the only ones that have actually given me 350kw on my Hummer. At EA I can only get 300kw.
