Drove by a Tesla charging facility and found a sign at each dispenser stating, “Charging for Tesla Vehicles Only.”
Here is a screen shot from the Tesla app. I have to ask, “what gives?”

Since posting, I have learned from others that the signs predate Tesla opening up to other electric vehicles and their newer stations have changed the signs to read "electric vehicles only".

There are a few other threads on this already. They are just old signs meant to deter ICE vehicles parking there. If the SuperCharger station is one that is compatible then you can charge there along with the Tesla stations.

Feel free to search for one of the other threads this was covered if you want to read more.

Newer locations just say EV Charging Only. The one closest to us that just opened in Sept has those signs.

A better sign would be:
"For EV that is charging only"

If you can plug it in for a charge, you win. Brand agnostic. It also eliminates EV that remains despite charging complete.

I received my CCS to NACS adapter last Friday. Today decided to try it. Several interesting items I thought worth sharing.
First, neither the Ford navigation system nor the Tesla app located the charging stations at the north end of Colorado Springs - just north of Briargate. But, the Ford Pass app did find them. More than20 charging stations.

Second, I did need to take up two spaces in order for the charge cable to reach the MME plug. Barely.

Third, the Tesla chargers do not have an external display. Only way to know charge status is to monitor inside the MME or within the Ford Pass app.

Fourth, Plug and Charge did not connect the charger to Ford or with the MME. I did need to use the Ford Pass app to activate the charger to which I connected the MME.

Fifth, Ford did track charging and send me a receipt. Excellent.

Sixth, the Ford Pass app did not have a 'disconnect' or 'stop charging' button. I stopped by pushing in the charge connector button near the plug-in to disconnect. Additionally, without an external charger display I did not know if current was still flowing to the CCC to NACS adapter. I disconnected carefully and safely.

Seventh, although about a dozen Tesla cars were charging, no owners/drivers contacted me or challenged my right to charge.

Overall, great first charge session using a Tesla charger.

If they can't figure that out, I don't think a sign would help.
