On return trip from Buffalo NY to Cooperstown on Sunday 7/16 stopped to charge at the Tesla Superchargers at Towneplace Center Batavia. I used the Tesla app, had everything setup correctly and was unable to initiate charging at any of the 3 (out of 12) chargers that I tried. The chargers all had the CCS adapter which came out of the supercharger at the end of the Tesla charger; the adapters easily plugged into the MME charging port and the car recognized the charger was plugged in. Waited ”up to 2 minutes” for the charging to start at each of the 3 chargers and ended up with the supercharger not recognizing the MME. Charged down the road at a ChargePoint DCFC. Suggestions as opening up Tesla chargers to our MMEs would be huge, if they work reliably.

If this happens next time you try, you should contact Tesla via their app while you were plugged in at the post and they probably could do troubleshooting for you then.

Sounds just like the EA experience many have. LOL, when the charger company and car company are not the same, what could go wrong?

Everyone thinks the charging experience will be so much better with Tesla. I think the Tesla perceived reliability will more than likely go down and take a hit.
