It’s a fun little novelty to distract from the decade of lies about FSD and camera only driver assist.

Decade-Long False Promises: Since 2015, Musk has repeatedly claimed that fully autonomous Teslas were "just a few months away".

Faked Demonstrations: A senior engineer testified that a 2016 video, designed to showcase a self-driving Tesla, was faked.

Robotaxi Claims: Musk claimed that by 2020, there would be over a million "robotaxis" on the road, which has not materialized.

Safety Misrepresentations: Investors and regulators have accused Musk of overstating the safety of Autopilot/FSD, which has been linked to hundreds of crashes, including fatalities

What is the point? Your eyes are better AND you should be seeing the cars in front of you with....YOUR EYES instead of looking at the screen? It makes little sense. I also found it visually distracting out of the corner of the eye. Like, should oh I don't know the nav be there? It feels like "hey this looks cool and is great marketing".

Before I got my MME I rented a Model 3 on vacation. I got a kick out of the screen animations for the 3-4 days I was driving it but as others have mentioned, soon I ignored it. But one feature the Model 3 had that I kind of liked was when I was the first car at a red traffic light, it would give kind of an audible *bong* tone when the light turned green. It chimed one time when I must have had my eyes closed, which I guess is the whole reason for it in the first place.

I'd be fine with Ford adopting that little feature.

Hey,

I’m in a Tesla Model Y for the first time and am digging this animated section of the large screen display that shows traffic and pedestrian activity in real-time. Has anyone else seen this? Is it something that you’d like to see in the Mach-E? Just curious.

Definitely seen it. Would definitely love to have it. Its useful, clear, easy to understand and provides lots more immediately impactful information than CarPlay or Android Auto.

I have this in my Rivian and do not like it. They finally provided a way to turn it off, but then force in on with Highway Assist engaged.

I call it the "dancing car display" and it is extremely annoying, especially since Rivian put it on the driver display.

I get a better display looking out the windshield, its almost like a real live view, no lag, no glitches, and the only thing mis-interpreted would be from the connection to my eyes and brain.

It also requires no updates, my mind seems to learn real time and always improve.

When I drive my wife’s MY I find it distracting, and also do not care about the speedo position. I also don’t like not being able to turn off 1PD
