Hey folks, I’ve had my Mach E for a few months now and am taking my first large trip in a couple of weeks. My plan is to use ABRP to plan the trip and then to enter each charging leg into the on-board navigation to get the battery preconditioning. I have an A2Z NACS adapter so I can use Tesla Superchargers but I’m confused about how they show up in the cars UI. The attached picture shows what I mean. The part I’m confused about is “no compatible connectors. Is this because the car doesn’t know I have the adapter? Will I still get the preconditioning if I navigate to this location as a saved waypoint? Also is there anything I can do to tell the navigation that I have the adapter?

You didn't do anything wrong and there's nothing you can configure to make the route planner include Tesla stations. Ford simply hasn't updated the trip planning software yet to include superchargers. I believe the 'no compatible connectors' line is related to magic dock stations.

They promised the update is coming later this year. You will find over the course of your ownership experience that Ford is glacially slow to release software updates, even small ones like this.

They don't even have all the Magic Dock stations. The one in Roseville, CA has been open for at least two months and it's not in the Ford nav. But it was also 105 °F so I didn't really need preconditioning. ? It went straight to 150 kW as soon as I plugged in yesterday.

What I've found weird: SOME Tesla chargers are showing up in the trip planner in my car, but some are not. Which is annoying.

And there is no preconditioning in the summer.
So on summer precondition will not cool it? Isn’t half the point of the feature to prevent the rapid-gate that has been documented while doing several charging on hot days?

No one has shown that any preconditioning happens in summer. If you are in 115 degree heat, and monitor with CarScanner to prove it.

Someone has to be the first then. I have the equipment for it, but not sure if I will do a multi - charge session this summer. If so I’ll try to do the testing. According to Teslabjorn’s testing the Mach E rapid gates in Norwegian summer heat, hence why it would be interesting to verify if the feature cools or warms depending on needs.
