OP wouldn't it bring more money selling it to Carvana after the recall is completed? I'm not sure Carvana can sell a car with an open safety recall.
No idea. They bought it and picked it up - nothing about an open recall mentioned.

Sayanara! This is the BEST car I have ever owned in 50 years. I love everything about it after 18 months and 26,000 miles! I haven't had a single problem with it! 2022 Premium, Extended Range, RWD.
Well good for you :)

I get it. Understandable. But we all want to know is A) What is Carvana giving you for it lol and B) What are you thinking of getting next?

This 100%. To me why would you even think to make removing a battery on an EV difficult. Sure I get the greed aspect but that doesn't track with also needing to service the car. I work for manufacturers and trust me, service and warranty are HUGE investments and all companies have a plan on how to honor the warranty and limit the cost severely. In fact most product designs that I have worked on have an entire section on "serviceable features" to limit the cost of fixing, replacing or refurbishment the product for possible resale recoop cost. Think about how many times you have sent a product in for warranty repair only to just receive a whole new one. Usually what happens is your original product is deconstructed and resold as certified refurbished to ofset the cost of the service center. But this issue is not just Ford, Ive seen a lot of other EV cars suffer the same issue. To me it doesnt make sense. Maybe its a manufacturing limitation or possibly even a safety protocol for these cars that in fact makes it so it HAS to be difficult to get to the battery. That at least I could understand. But I have not seen any documentation to that effect.

I decided to follow the same path. I resolved all the recalls, TSBs and CSPs at once. $7,500 lease credit was too good to pass up. The finance guy at BMW asked what I though of the Mach-e. I said is was the best car I ever owned, so the bar is set. Besides the car being great, I really enjoyed interacting with this forum over the last 3 years. Ford and the dealers on the other hand leave something to be desired.

They gave me $32,300 for it and I replaced it with an Audi Q4 e-tron
What? We didn't make you change your mind? I mean the internet tries so hard to show you how you are wrong, and what you should do so you can do it again to please the internet. Are you turning your back on the collective? ;)
Enjoy the e-Tron, hopefully it's a better experience.
