How hard would it have been to say: "People prefer cheap" or "Consumers like low-priced cars"?

no I agree , it is all of us , mostly us well payed big butted whataburger eating americans- if we would build for ourselves and quit being lazy consumers- the world would owe us not the other way around .slowly we are selling out selves out.! unfotunately

Pandemic and supply chain issues are disrupting nearly every industry. I don't know a single contractor (or client) that's happy about costs and availability of materials right now. Almost every job I have is way behind and way over budget through no fault of anyone involved in the project team.
