Be careful. I put metal caps on my valve stems once and the dissimilar metals caused a reaction that fused them in place. When I tried to remove them, the entire valve stem broke and required all the TPMS sensors to be replaced. This may not be as much of an issue in places that don't use road salt, but needless to say, I never used metal caps again.

Most of those metal caps also have reviews stating that the paint is gone within months and you are left with brassy/copper colors.

Got those. A few weeks in, and two of the Mustang logos have fallen off.

It's an issue in Florida. Happen within a month on mine. Luckily was able to use wd40 and pliers to gently coax them off. I only use ones with plastic inserts now.

Wow. I never thought this was a thing. TIL. The car came with chrome caps because the dealer put some Nitrogen caps on the stems.

It looks like you can order metal barrel stem caps that have a plastic liner.
