Of course. BTW I carefully followed the cutout template on the instructions. The plastic cutout is asymmetric to allow for the swing-down electric connection. HOWEVER, I strongly suggest your installer NOT cut corners... they should leave the edge below the cutout intact because that edge ties into the bottom shield of the car with screws and makes things silver... see this attached pic or two or three... also attached is the wiring harness floor port pic.Just the picture I wanted Martin! Do you have any photos of the actual tow bar cutout underneath the car as well and how that looks?
This is the street-level look.... and don't worry, the cut in the bumper is not visible from following cars
I kept my cutout... still thinking about how to do that without creating other issues like reliable retaining of the cover, and making access difficult.I’m interested to know if anyone’s managed to find/make a cover for the hole that’s now cut in the bumper ? Can’t help thinking it’s now going to collect plenty of road dirt and water in the under tray![]()
