Calling it a "tow point" is incorrect. It's really a recovery/winch point. It's meant to be used to winch a car onto a flatbed tow rig. 🤔🐩
I agree, but then how does one flat-tow it with all the wheels on the ground for a max of 50 miles as mentioned in the manual?

You would have to use the recovery hook, but no one in their right mind would flat tow a Mach-E that far. You only going to flat pull it just as far as necessary to get it on a tow truck.

Not sure, but I would never flat-tow a vehicle without using a proper tow bar. Bad JuJu almost always results from a cable tow. 😰🐩

You can get the part number off of the box in my photos. I got a pretty good deal on it off of eBay, but I hear it isn’t all that expensive from Ford. 😁🐩
Purchased! I used points, so I bought from ford. Thanks for your help.

No, Lee. The 2024s have the tow holes. I even put the same lime green arrows with the word "TOW" printed on them on the underside of the car to point them out in case of id10t tow personnel. 😁🐩

This is exactly why I got down looking at the underside of my new 2025, to place the arrow stickers which point to the tow holes, as I had on my 2021, and was disappointed that I could not find them.

You are correct - I just looked underneath my 2025 Premium and it seems that the "holes" are for bolts retaining the under body plastic shield. However; page 298 of the manual states:

"EMERGENCY TOWING
If your vehicle becomes inoperable without access to wheel dollies or a vehicle transport trailer, it can be flat-towed with all wheels on the ground, regardless of the drivetrain, under the following conditions:
• Your vehicle is facing forward for towing in a forward direction.
• You switch Emergency Tow on.
• Maximum speed is 55 km/h (35 mph).
• Maximum distance is 80 km (50 mi)."

Not sure how the vehicle should be towed only by the tow hook located on the front right side of the bumper though (only one offset tow point).
You loop a chain over the hitch ball on your 1983 Chevy pickup, with the sides flapping in the wind rust. Hook the chains onto the front shock absorbers, and go. Easy peasy.

So Ford either forgot to delete the holes from the 2024 or they decontented the 2025. Seems like altering the tooling for the metals and plastics would be more expensive than any benefit Ford would receive from additional purchases of cars due to the decontenting (especially since we are just finding out about this 7 months into 2025). I guess what I am saying is this particular modification to the car makes no sense to me. 🤔🐩

Just called my local Ford dealership. I have 1,998 Ford points, which equates to $9.00, to use in the next 30 days. This part is $67.00 from my local dealer. I'll pay the remainder.

There is a parts dealer on eBay right now that has the same recovery hook I have for $9.00. 😁🐩
