Why doesn't the Mach-E have a tow hook?

Unfortunately, the Pierce Arrow tow hook, item # 3309048 won't work on the Mach E - the T crossarm is too large. The towing hole on the Mach E is 1 inch across. See the attached pix.

As someone that got my RWD Mach-E stuck in the mud a tow hook or hitch would’ve been very useful. Luckily I was able to escape with the help of a guy with a construction loader pushing me out using tires as a cushion. ?
