Can you give your MachE order to someone if you don’t need ?

Not all dealers add ADM on cancels. (but yeah, high chance in some areas)If you give it back to the dealer he’s going to sell to somebody for 10 grand more than sticker price you could buy it and sell it the next day probably seven grand more than sticker price
I tried taking over an order back in Nov/Dec from a member here and the dealership basically said "No, we're going to mark it up $5K"Can you give your MachE order to someone if you don’t need ?
Hi Voxel - I was curious if you did this? I am in a similar situation and want to get the car to my brother.I tried taking over an order back in Nov/Dec from a member here and the dealership basically said "No, we're going to mark it up $5K"
Now, I'm in the same situation with two orders I probably won't accept unless I force some 401(k)/Roth conversion or trigger some capital gains (lol in 2022). I may try to add a second person to the title at purchase time and have this person pay for the car then remove myself from the title. Of course I would only do that with somebody like a friend or co-worker.
Nope. I think if you and your brother are BOTH on the title + registration it could work (along with loan docs, etc.). You should be able to remove yourself from the title after.Hi Voxel - I was curious if you did this? I am in a similar situation and want to get the car to my brother.
Pardon my skepticism but I've yet to hear of any dealer not adding ADM to a cancelled order sitting on their lot.Not all dealers add ADM on cancels. (but yeah, high chance in some areas)
You could ask the dealer if they will allow it. If you don't buy it, and it's not a loophole like a spouse, then it reverts to the dealer. Wouldn't count on it, but worth a try.
I purchased mine sitting on the lot from a canceled order with no ADM, and so now you have heard of it. Ford and GM and very anti dealer ADM in Michigan. Toyota and some others not so much, crazy prices trying to get a Toyota Rav4 prime.Pardon my skepticism but I've yet to hear of any dealer not adding ADM to a cancelled order sitting on their lot.
My Premium RWD SR was bought off the lot in Oct/Nov 2021 without markup BUT that same dealer now adds $6K-8K minimum to Mach-Es.I purchased mine sitting on the lot from a canceled order with no ADM, and so now you have heard of it. Wow, thanks. I stand corrected.I purchased mine sitting on the lot from a canceled order with no ADM, and so now you have heard of it. Ford and GM and very anti dealer ADM in Michigan. Toyota and some others not so much, crazy prices trying to get a Toyota Rav4 prime.
RAV4 Prime at MSRP, now that’s unheard of ?My Premium RWD SR was bought off the lot in Oct/Nov 2021 without markup BUT that same dealer now adds $6K-8K minimum to Mach-Es.
I bought a RAV4 Prime at MSRP... but the dealer made their money via add-on package (all cars - Toyota or not - had the forced package). Still much lower than the $5K or $10K markup at every other dealer.
Even crazier is I bought two. An SE which the dealer wanted back so I could upgrade to an XSE that had also put a deposit on. That was late 2021.RAV4 Prime at MSRP, now that’s unheard of ?
