Hi everyone - I picked up my new 2021 MME ER RWD on Thursday and I’m learning how to set everything up. I have entered my personal residence in the system but can’t figure out how to get the car to stop auto locking at my residence. If I turn off auto lock it won’t lock away from my residence without me locking it, so …. how do I get the MME to not lock at my residence? The car is in a garage so there is no reason to lock it.

BTW - Buckeye Jones Ford & Lalo Castillo at Buckeye Jones Ford made the purchase of the MME a wonderful experience. My wife and I haven’t had to deal with car dealers in about 15 years, this dealership made the experience easy.

You don't. Walk-away lock is either on or off. It's not tied to a location at all, unfortunately. We'll have to wait and see if that behavior changes with an update at some point in the future.
Thank you for the reply, I thought I missed something in what I was ready. To bad @Ford didn’t think about that option.

I kind of like that the auto lock feature will work in the garage as well. While I don't have my MME yet, I always have a habit of locking my car whether its in the driveway or the garage. My Escape has a keypad on the door the same as an MME and if I forget something or need to access the inside of the car I can always enter the code to get it, as well as lock it again when done, no need to grab the key/fob.
Also consider the safety aspect if you have young children who may have access to the garage, you don't want them opening doors and leaving them opened.

Thanks for the feedback, we are past the young child stage of life.
