(This info may be in there already, it seems to be buried deep in threads; hence my question).

Once you get VIN and build week info, how long does it take to get 'windows sticker' , get the vehicle built, shipped and then receiving the vehicle in hand.

Once you get a VIN, you should be able to get your window sticker. The rest, well.... There is no standard timeline. Build scheduling is based on a plethora of factors (model, drive configuration, battery, options, paint color, priority, parts in stock, Mercury in retrograde, the gods favor, some butterfly flapping its wings, etc.) and once it's built, you're at the mercy of rail yards, customs, ramp location, and depending on where you are - a series of additional rail and truck truck transporters to your local dealership.

To top it all off, I was lucky enough to have my car built but put on chip hold (they finished the car but didn't have all the needed chips) so it sat outside the plant for 2 months before finally being shipped. Then it got to Kansas City, sat for 3 weeks, and then spent another month in transport to Texas because somehow the best path between KC and Dallas was through Seattle.

To top it off, you'll have almost no visibility into most of what's happening and there's little communication from Ford or your dealer typically.

It took me 2 1/2 months to receive car after it was scheduled and 9 1/2 months to receive from date of order.

You'll get your VIN when scheduled but the window sticker won't populate until about a week before your build date.

After that, it's a real crapshoot! You can check the other build week threads to get get an idea of some of the issues that occur during delivery but it doesn't mean your car will be any more or any less impacted on its way to your dealer.

Window sticker about a week before. I got mine on 7/14 for a 7/18 build week. I was built on 7/23 (Saturday, towards the end of day). I shipped on 7/27. From there, it’s a crapshoot. I was estimated at about 30 days for shipping, before my issues delayed it.

So overall, assume about 10 days before build date for window sticker. Then shipping is usually a few days later (unless convoy to CA, some sat for a month). Call it 15 days from window sticker to shipped.
