Hi fellow Mach-E & Thinkware U3000 dashcam owners!
Ever since owning my U3000 (a couple of months) the GPS hasn’t really worked. I’ve just started a dialogue with Thinkware on this, though an obvious “issue” is the faraday cage effect created by the heated front screen.
Out of interest, does the GPS work on anyone’s U3000 in a MachE? If so, what’s so different about the install. I can’t believe there is a better position for the camera than where I have it (or that it would make marginal difference in the GPS respect).
Have you had to resort to an external GPS antenna?!
Whilst I understand the faraday nature of the front screen, I don’t really understand why it would such a problem for the U3000 but my iPhone works fine in this respect.
Any insight from other users gratefully received!
Best wishes,
Richard.
