I decided to get a UK mach-e branded key off Ebay (not the fiesta type) and go through a reprogram process, went through the 2 orignal key swap method and put the ebay key in the slot, IPC said programming successful this additional key will allow me to open the car on the car door button and locks touching the car lock symbol on the b panel, I can also start the car without issues. What's not working are any buttons on the fob :( which would be nice if I could open the frunk and boot. Curious if anyone has had this issue and knows of a solution. I did go through reprogramming a number of times and all successful, and did a sync reset also.

Not an expert, but the transponder chip in the fob communicates to the car differently for the ignition versus the buttons being pushed.

The lock button on the B pillar doesn't require any fob...

Never said anything about the keypad.

The lock button on the door works without any fob present to LOCK the door. Anyone can lock the door.

The door latch button operates on the door antenna detecting a key (fob) within 3 feet.

The buttons on the fob go to a receiver in the vehicle and operate differently. Therefore, your buttons are either not programmed OR your fob is not compatible.
