Yes, and very much a reskinned Falcon. My 64 Falcon uses many of the same parts as the first year Mustang.

True enthusiasts of the pony know this. They also know that the probe was initially supposed to be the new gen mustang but ford got a ton of hate mail for it and changed it to the probe

I had a 64 1/2 Mustang and the recirculating ball steering quit working - the steering wheel would just spin round and round. Cheesy Falcon balls... ?
I bought it used from a friend and I did not have it long.

Us Falcon guys have known that stuff for years. I collected a lot of the parts for my Falcon before Al Gore invented the internet. One had to go to swap meets and watch the classified ads to get the good stuff.

My mom's cousin bought it new, and I've had it since about 1985. It's an original 260 V8 car. I drove it daily for 8 years and now it's waiting to be a retirement project. Plan is to dump $100k+ into it and make it a bad ass street legal track car with a tube frame and a coyote engine.
