Using a Tesla Supercharger With Magic Dock in Boardman, Oregon

Not really sure if this should go here or in the "Trips / Journals / Logs" category, but...I thought I'd share a video I made of our day trip to Boardman, Oregon to try out a Tesla supercharger with a Magic Dock. I know I'm not the first, but it was still a cool experience so I thought it worth a share. I know we're getting an adapter for most of the Tesla supercharger network, but frankly I wish Tesla would install more of these...it's nice to not have to worry about an adapter and just pull up and charge (even if it's not exactly plug-n-charge). Anywho...enjoy!

Telsa will be opening 3,500 SuperChargers by the end of 2024, per their agreement with the Biden Administration. There hasn't been any word on reducing this commitment, and it's with Magic Docks. So, we MAY end up with 3,500 chargers with Magic Docks and 15,000 that we can use with CCS adapters.

3,500 superchargers with magic dock would be a great start! Honestly, I'd be perfectly happy with that solution instead of an adapter (although we will get the adapter).

We should find out in another month or so when it appears on the Ford Accessories site. Rumor has it around $200-300.

Ford hasn't said they will be available in February and Tesla only said when their chargers would be capable of working with Ford and GM.

I hope the adapters will be available in February.
