I have searched and cannot find information about using Tesla's Superchargers on a long trip. I have been told by another Mache owner that she subscribes to the Tesla charging system and gets a significant price break. I have been to Tesla's website and can't find how to sign up for just one month while on a long-distance trip. Can someone give me a link to where this is possible?

Download the Tesla app. Create an account. After you have an account you can look at their subscription options. You don't need an account to use their chargers through the Blue Oval network.

There are literally dozens of posts.

EA gives you 25% off with a $7 subscription. Tesla gives you 20 - almost 30% off (it varies) with a $12.99 subscription.

1) Join 1 or both the morning of a trip, then immediately downgrade, takes effect in 30 days. That way you don't have to remember to downgrade.

2) To get the discount, you MUST initiate the charge with the EA or Tesla apps. Wait until it says to plug in. Disable Ford Plug & Charge to make sure it doesn't take over the session in error.

Note the word "app" not the word "website".

Thanks for your reply. I have been to the Tesla website and cannot find how to subscribe to their Superchargers. Also, what do you mean by "downgrade"?

Re-read the last sentence in my reply to you.

APP, not WEBSITE. APP...

When you get the membership, that's an UPGRADE from being a non-member. You then have to remember to CANCEL your membership before it renews in 30 days. Instead, you can immediately cancel, which won't take effect for 30 days.

OK, I see. APP for the phone. The downgrade tactic makes sense now. I already had the Tesla app on my iPhone and a couple of others like EA, but didn't realize that was where I needed to subscribe. I was trying to subscribe on their website. Now I do. Thanks

As everyone suggested get the Tesla app and setup an account. Select non-Tesla charging option in the Tesla network portion of the app.

I did the math and in Canada at $16.99/mth you need to charge at least 120kWh per month to break even on the savings of the charging to monthly subscription. Sign up only for the months you need. Don’t bother if it’s less than 120kWh that month.

Thanks. The 120 kWh guideline is useful

120 kWh is 2 long charging sessions or 4 short ones. If you are going more than say 250 miles each way, it's probably worth it unless you have guaranteed level 2 chargers where you are going to sleep.

Additionally if you're wanting to use the monthly subscription supercharging discount you have to start the charge session through the Tesla app, you cannot use plug & charge.

If you plan your trip using a tool like ABRP, you can lookup the specific Tesla chargers it recommends and see their regular and membership prices, and do the actual math. It's $12.99 in the US, and the discount varies from a little over 20% to almost 30%. I looked some up yesterday and for a few it was a 14 cent discount. $12.99 / .14 = 93kWh, not 120. If you charge from 20 to 80% on the road, 60% of 91kWh is 54.6kWh, so the breakeven is 93/54.6 = 1.7 60% charges.
