We took our first long road trip (NC to SC) this week and all went well, but I did stop by a Tesla Supercharger that was nearest to where we were staying. It was obvious that it would not work for my 2024 Mach-E, so can someone say which specific adapter do I need to use the Tesla charger? So far, I have used Charge Point, Electrify America, and EV Connect with no problems. I want to ensure I have all the options available for distance traveling.

One other oddity (to me) was that the Tesla charging station in Greenville, SC had an extremely short cable....even with an adapter I don't think I could have charged there. Is this typical?

Thanks for any guidance!

Thanks for the reply..this did answer my questions. Is it necessary to get a Tesla app for this? I have found the FordPass app does not always show all charging stations.

Fordpass will show compatible superchargers, check your filters and uncheck 'hide stations requiring adapter'. You can also use plugshare or the Tesla app.

There are three commercially-available adapters at this time for Tesla DC Fast Charge stations (V3 or newer). A2Z, Lectron, and Tesla all make a J3400 to CCS-1 adapter. Ford markets adapters made by either Tesla or Lectron (Ford’s Lectron-made adapter is slightly different from the one Lectron sells elsewhere). A2Z and Lectron often offer direct purchase discount codes. ??

Yes, the "Hide Stations" is unchecked, and I do have plugshare and other apps that I use to check a given area.

I just bought the A2Z Typhoon Pro adapter a week ago, used a discount code to get it for $135. This is what you'd need for the superchargers.

They also have another adapter to use on Tesla destination chargers, which would be the slower free chargers you find some places, it was $80.

I bought both and they delivered in five days.

Might check if the discount is still valid, BXDY24

My FordPass app shows Tesla Superchargers but says "Incompatible". WTH?

It shows both. In the map view the incompatible locations will show as "-- kw" vs 250 kw for compatible stations typically. The older v2 chargers are incompatible for example.

Yeah, well, ?you Elon, screw up all out kids with your social media shite but the UK don’t need your chargers or adapters, we’re sufficiently well covered and improving all the time, got one in my garage and the local area attached is typical of most of UK.
