Better late then never - now it’s fixed.
The workshop started by pulling fuses one at a time and isolated it to the gateway module. It was replaced this Monday, but the problem still persisted.
After some input from Ford centrally they finally found a cable with a lot of oxidation on the contacts. After replacing the contacts, standby draw decreased from 5A to less than 0.01A. As a bonus, the interior light now goes off when the doors are closed ?
