Out doing some errands tonight and after getting back in the car to drive across the street to my next stop there was a very weird vibration in the steering wheel - like it had a hidden massage function. At first I though it was just road feel but it really wasn’t - it was vibrating. Heating was not on.

Drove 30 seconds across the street, and parked. My daughter confirmed what I was feeling through the wheel.

Turned the car off and then on again - no more vibration. Drove home and nothing either.

Super weird.

Anyone else every felt such a thing? Related to power steering maybe?

I can't remember if the wheel vibrates when you cross a lane marker to warn you you're going out of the lane. Maybe it was that?
It does. There is vibration in the wheel when you get too close to a painted line.

I was in a parking lot, essentially driving under 5 mph…

It was also different from the lane departure warning..higher frequency.

Gotcha, that seems unusual…

Lane keeping or something like that (alert?)? Can remember the exact setting you need to turn off. I thought something was wrong with the front end on my test drive till I found it. I like to color outside the lines.

What's the FORscan setting to enable the massaging steering wheel function? ?

I’m going to go out on a limb and postulate that it was the lane keep warning vibration gone rogue. I was driving under 5 mph in a parking lot, and it started as soon as I turned the car on…so…weird. And then gone as soon as I turned the car on and off.

Just wondering if it’s happened to any one else…

I’ve been having the same vibration. Mine tends to be when the car has been sitting overnight and it’s slightly colder outside. I can be in one pedal Drive and then when I release the pedal going over the steering wheel can violently shake. Once I have driven for just a minute it tends to go away, but then it comes back and random times. Has nothing to do with Lane keeping assist or anything of those natures I’m perfectly in the middle of the lines as something to do I think with the one pedal drive system, but so far the dealership has not been super helpful and figure out an issue how to fix it.

What do you mean in the bold? You release the pedal with your foot and then the wheel shakes? Violently how far left and right does the wheel go? Does it mimic the alert shake?

The radar is in between the vents on the exterior front lower nose. Black plastic piece with diamond shapes on mine. Spray bottle of wiper antifreeze and a cloth. Make sure it is clean along with the back and front cams. Ensure the alert in the settings is off a shaky wheel was not helpful here. Felt like the front end was falling off so I turned it off.

It’s not the alert for whenever the car goes over the lines it essentially if you go to do a stop after 50 miles an hour and just take a foot off the one pedal drive completely and let the car to slow down with the engine. The car can shake pretty decently left and right probably an inch or two. it goes away once you do that once or twice and then it’s good for mostly the rest of the day. I’m not sure why it does that. The dealership said it’s normal so I don’t know if there’s something wrong with the engine or not. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with the engine. or the one paddle drive system.
