Vinfast in the Wild

i saw one of these yesterday when i went to the corte madera tesla center to return my leased M3. i'm not sure what model it was, but it had manufacturer plates. there's a jaguar dealer nearby so maybe the area is a car dealership zone. was really surprised since i happened to see this thread last week and that was the first time i had heard of vinfast.

Saw one today when charging in Ypsilanti, Mi. Nice looking car. Nice looking interior. They were out collecting data and stopped at the EA here. This is a very reliable EA and is easy to get to off 94. 6 units. I used a 350 kw and got up to 116 kw. More were open. They may all be 350. Another white Vinfast just pulled in.

It's not a terrible looking car and I like the blue color pictured by OP.
I'm in the camp of I hope they make it and it doesn't hurt to have some more EV competition.
I wouldn't expect to see any of these outside of CA anytime soon.

Competition is how we are able to get the best products at the most reasonable price. Without competition, you have waste and abuse. And poor product quality. You probably can figure out where I am going with this, but I will stop before we start another thread that gets locked by the admin due to politics.

I asked them how many were in the US and they said 40. I liked how it looks. Reminds me a bit of our MME. The more BEV options the better.
