I don’t know anything about the Fisker.

I think it’s kinda boring and ugly looking.

what’s supposed to be special about the Fisker?
Some quirky features of the Ocean...

-On certain models, it has a California Mode. Press a button on the fob or in the car and all windows roll down and the sun roof opens up -- including the small side windows and the rear window.

-The rear window rolls down.

-The main screen can rotate from vertical while driving to horizontal while parked.

-It uses a lot of recycled materials in the car.

-It is built in a low emissions plant and uses 100% renewable energy.

I saw one in the wild months ago, we still have our Ultra reservation, but I don’t think we will be pulling the trigger. Fisker Inc as a company is in real trouble right now.

Do they still have the weird grille that looks like a creepy mustache?

Overpriced ID.4 competitor. A lot of promises, but not much delivered yet

Other highlights

- it's rated 360 miles to a charge

- it's capable of 0-60 in under 4 seconds 1/4 mile low 12s @ ~110mph

And it does something I've never experienced in another EV -- it rolls backward while in Drive. I came to a light on a hill and came to a complete stop. I let my foot off the brake because I was going to make a right on red as traffic allowed. And that's when I started rolling backwards -- not just a foot but several feet. The Fisker person in the car with us said the fix for that was coming soon.
My 2021 ID.4 did that. Did not have auto-hold so it would roll backwards on any incline as soon as I let go of the brake. It was annoying and dangerous as I had cars less than two feet behind me when leaving my HOA (which has an incline). I test drove a 23 with auto-hold but you had to press the brake for 2-3 seconds before it AH would engage.

I saw a Fisker Ocean at a Cars & Coffee meetup a couple months ago, and I'll have to say that I was intrigued with its looks, and looking at its interior from the outside. (I did not get into the vehicle to get a better feel for how it was). But my thoughts of maybe going for one changed (for the time being, at least) after recently reading this article in Road & Track: https://www.roadandtrack.com/reviews/a45997938/2024-fisker-ocean-test-drive/

But only 500 times. Use them wisely.
Well...yes and no. I think they are advertising 3.7 with boost and without it's like 4.1. That's less of a gap in performance than we see daily. Our 3.5 and 3.8 GTPE/GT numbers need a perfect 70 degree day, 90%+ charge and a full moon. The rest of the time it's in the 4s.

I'd be totally fine If I hit consistent 4.1s and got in the 3s when I really wanted that little bit extra with a limit. It was initially a deal breaker for me in principle, but then when we saw how well the cars did without using Boost, it was much less so.

Parked in the garage at work. Looks like that one model Land Rover.

Seeing the Ocean was what first got me thinking about an EV. I think it is great looking with some really cool features (e.g., driver "taco tray"). I just read a review online and it said that it had potential, but it wasn't ready for prime time. Too may things that don't work yet. Thus, my purchase of a MME (which, as I'm about to go over my first 1000 miles, I'm thrilled with and have no buyer's remorse).

Is that kinda like the girl in high school that you knew would not give you the time of day so you told everybody she was nothing special when in reality you wished she would even acknowledge that you existed? ? Yeah, the Fisker Ocean is that girl!
