I’ve had 2 GTPEs and now have a Rally. I noticed right away a weird popping noise from the front end at low speed. Happens whether driving straight or turning, forward or reverse. It’s not rhythmic, like with wheel rotation, just a pop…….pop pop……pop pop pop from the front any time I’m rolling at very low speed. Any ideas? Would have thought drive axle but it’s not specific to turning. Only at low speed usually with no throttle and creeping into our out of a parking space.

Hi Rob! I can look into your Mach-E's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

I would inspect the shocks to make sure shipping spacers were removed. I read posts in the past where they were forgotten by the dealer during inspection.

I know it’s not related but the only time I’ve had that happen is when I let the car sit for a few days and basically I think it’s the brakes hanging up eventually it went away. I’m sure it’s not that but just throwing that out there.

This definitely happens every drive. The first time I heard it I thought maybe brakes clicking, but it's definitely not from sitting as I drive it daily.

That was the first thing I checked. All clear.

Sounds good I thought being the new rally. Maybe I’ve been sitting around the parking lot a lot before you picked it up.

I’m not like everybody else on this site that knows every In-N-Out everything about this car, I’m assuming these things have CV joints gonna be a CV joint I don’t know?

I'm right there with you and your line of thinking is exactly what mine has been to this point. I put it up on my lift to see if maybe one of the CV boots was torn or something and both looked perfect. I'll take it to Ford and see if they can figure it out. Thanks for chiming in!

I just bought a 2012 Mustang convertible and lately when I step on the gas I hear like a rattling sound so I found it was the fender lining around the front wheel thank God for duct tape and gorilla glue?

I sometimes get an arhythmic clicking out of a tire or two on the Blazer. It’s usually a few rocks stuck in the siping. A screwdriver or other prying device fixes that. ?‍♂?

Had similar noise, front battery needed replacement, on paper it says electric drive assembly replaced, reprogram SOBDM, BECM, PCM.

The on paper comment seems to mean they replaced the front electric motor. Not sure what the front battery would be?

That was my first thought. If the OP has a method they are comfortable with for jacking the front wheels off the ground it should be pretty straightforward to verify.

A CV joint needs to be rotating and the steering moved to hear something. Visual inspection wouldn’t be sufficient.
