Well formed space cut out under tire inflator?

Under the rear shelf is the portable charging ESVE and a tire inflator in a molded insert. Underneath the tire inflator is a well defined space for something else, such as a tow hook or tool or something. That space was empty in my ME. I'm guessing Ford designed that to hold something that later got deleted from the deliverable vehicle, but possibly I am missing something I am supposed to have.

Does your ME have anything in that cutout that was delivered with your ME?

The cutout you speak of is for a tow hook. Included with the European models. Deleted for us Americans. I ordered a coupe from Amazon. I’ll post if they fit right.

There is a hole in a frame member behind the front right bumper access door. If the hook won’t screw in there, I guess I can return it.
