I thought it could be used as an ice chest and drain later.
No I don't mean fill to the top !
given the advertising that's a fair assumption but there's a permanently open drain hole in the bottom.

Step 1 - Put liquid in it
Step 2 - It drains
Assuming you have the latest drain plug OTA patch applied and you weren't part of the stop ship where they had to update the drain plug module ? Otherwise...

Step 1: Put liquid in
Step 2: 12 V battery dies
Step 3: Radio presets are lost
Step 4: PaaK malfunctions
Step 5: Doors won't close

Not yet. I emailed my dealer and he will do OTA as soon as it becomes
available. He said until then use the tire patch kit in the car. ?

Works well as a mobile ice bucket and dries out well. Impressive the first few times. Wine was okay too.

I put ice and soft drinks for my 1500 mile trip home from Denver and was surprised how quickly the ice melted even when temps were 20ish when I left Denver and 40ish when I entered washington.

Yes, the picture was taken fresh. Lasted for the half hour I needed - like the shrimp gimmick.
Taken 2/3 of the dividers out now too to have more space.
My ice box cooler pads will work way better.

Guess its more for washing the shrimp and sauce out later!

I plan to put V8 in mine for our company car show (if we do it this year, stupid covid). That way when someone asks me what's under the hood, I can say V8.
