Cutout under Inflator

I searched the manual and the forums and couldn't find anything on this. When I picked up my MME I verified it had the inflator but didn't pull it out. Someone the other day asked how heavy it was, so when I pulled it out to see, I came across this strange cutout. Given the tire repair is in the back of the inflator (per the manual), I started wondering what could go in this cutout. It is definitely a specific shape. Does anyone know what this is for? Perhaps Ford used this "foam insert" from another product line.

I saw in the owners manual that there is a screw in tow eye that goes into the little door in the front camera right of the bumper. Neither of my cars came with one. Did anyone get one?

I couldn't find anything in the manual in the car or online. I know the little door is for the 12v access if the battery goes dead but when I opened it up, I didn't see any place to attach a tow hook/eye. Since the only way to tow the car is on a flatbed/hauler, a tow eye is logical. Not that I plan to need it towed but would be nice to have all the pieces/parts if I ever did.

I just verified that I don't have one either. Not that I could find a place to screw it in. Manual time.

It's definitely for a tow eye, but the MME doesn't have anywhere to screw one in, which is why it didn't come with one. Perhaps the cutout is there because it will be included in some countries outside of North America.

It is in the dutch instructions book. Front and rear bumper.

Thanks, that would be the reason. They're probably required in Europe, just like a hazard triangle and rear fog lights. It's kind of a bummer that there's no tow eye mounting point in the US in case we need to get pulled out of the mud or something.
