Have you tried just removing the key from your car and phone? Master reset will take the car Back to when you first got it.
I did, thinking I should first try that without doing the Master Reset. It didn't seem to have any effect on improving the PAAK.

What are your PAAk symptoms?

I have an Early Job 2 and believe all the issues are with FordPass. I have exclusively used PAAK since Dec 7th. When 4.11? came through it got worse. I have to make sure I restart the FordPass app (full close and reopen) on the phone before I walk out of the house to the car. The Bluetooth does not connect to the car if I do not restart the app.

Finally, if I do not restart it, I can use remote unlock enter the car but get the “no key message” in the car.

Again…. I fully close and restart the app and it’s fine for the rest of the day.

Pardon the App versions, they may not be 100% accurate. So something with the FP updates changed the way the phones BT worked with the car and PAAK.

When 4.10? came out I rarely got updates from the car on charges etc. just the spinning circle. But charge settings changes worked fine. PAAK no issues.

when 4.11? came out the BT issues popped up. And still are there with PAAK.

finally when 4.11.2? Came out communications issues went nearly completely away and changing charge settings impossible, PAAK issues still there.

Something happened recently (no update noted) so all the FP functions work including charge settings, journeys etc but the PAAK issues remain.

Please remember for the best functionality, phone in hand on car approach and place it in the charging tray to start and drive. Anywhere else, you are asking for issues.

hopefully the next FP update fixes the PAAK issues. It’s working well now for all but this BT issue.

I do not believe it is the car at all. After the app full morning reboot, other than a few occasional unlock delays by 5 seconds or so, it works well for me and I still use it daily.

I would not make any car updat changes yet. Finally I do find a full App Reboot solves this issue.

PAAK was working roughly 80% of the time up to 4.11 update. Since then, it's maybe 20% of the time.

There are 3 main symptoms:

1. Car won't unlock (so I enter with the door pillar passcode).
2. Try to start and get "No Key Detected" (phone is in the charging tray).
3. The prompt to enter the passcode to start doesn't appear consistently; sometimes it's taken a dozen attempts at starting before it appears.

I will try restarting the app before approaching the car as you suggest and see what happens.

Please do. Not just open the app already running in the background but fully close and reopen it.

I do this every morning just before I walk out the house door to the car. It instantly connects to the BT.

It’s good for the rest of the day. Something may be going to sleep overnight? But the BT simply does not connect.

I can still remote start, unlock the doors, change charge limits and departure times, but anything BT (PAAK) just does not work. I would like to attempt to stand outside for 10-15 mins but it’s darned cold and I have to get to work.

BTW swiping an Apple screen outside when it’s 5F like today just does not work.

What you mention sounds exactly like what I am experiencing and I hope it’s fixed soon. Today, active charging notifications did not update for 8 hours! And the car was done in 4 hours. Something is still amiss with FordPass.

Best of luck!

It appears the new FordPass update may have resolved this issue. No reboot this AM. The first time in over a month.........

When I did a master reset on my job 1 due to a failed OTA, I now have a backup camera view that is like looking through a peek hole, I am stuck in Engage mode due to the fact that when I open the vehicle drawer there is no longer along the top the " control" or "settings" option

You’re correct the issues are definitely more phone/app dependent, if an issue is resolved by FQing an app, then it’s something on the phone.

I've tried several times restarting the app prior to attempting to use PAAK. I haven't done enough attempts to figure out the percentage failure rate, but while it sometimes seems to work, at others I have a new condition where I can unlock the door, but it still shows "No Key detected".

Next step would be to try the Master Reset, but I want to go through and figure out all of the changes I've made to settings first so I can reset them.

Nope. No BT connection and app shut down and restart needed today. Ford, fix this issue so we can enjoy PAAK!

Reach out to @Ford Motor Company - they may be able to get you sorted out, or at least get you as a high priority with a dealer visit.

Did you disconnect, power down your phone and then reconnect? I have found sometimes powering off the phone makes weird things stop happening, especially if I've done numerous app updates.

I thought about starting a new thread, but I might as well just put it here. I did a Master Reset today.
I had let my 3 month Sirius subscription lapse, so I called them a week or so ago to put the radio on my account, along with my other two radios. I was at home when I called them and they said next time I used the car it should update and be functional again. They also sent me a text that supposedly would prompt the reset if it didn't do it automatically. A couple days later I tried both and it didn't work. Well today I was in the car parked and on the phone for 40 mins as they tried everything they could from their end. It was only after I browsed around and found the Master Reset function that the Sirius would accept my subscription and work.
